I’ve been to gp. And they have referred me for suspected cervical cancer
My physical exam showed multiple cysts ? And I had a smear which nurse said lots of blood and blood vessels around cervix look unusual
I have bad pain in my vagina and deep pelvic pain constantly and lower back pain and it feels like pressure in my bottom when there is stools in there. Abnormal irregular bleeding for 7 months .
Should I be concerned as I’m very worried about having cancer . The pain is about a 4-5 and it seems to be getting worse with time. Ultrasound was normal. I also have a tilted cervix. Any advice would be much appreciated
Thank you

Thank you for your message - we're sorry to hear but completely understand that you're feeling worried. We're pleased to hear that your GP has requested a gynae referral for you - it might be helpful in terms of worry and stress to think of this appointment as ruling out cancer rather than a suspected cancer. These referrals see more people being told they don't have a cancer than they do have a cancer, but we appreciate that our minds naturally presume the worst so it's hard to not think about the more serious outcome, isn't it? We can't unfortunately give advice as to whether or not your specific situation is a cervical cancer or not, but can hopefully reassure and support with the above information.
