some adivse as I don't want to make a fuss at the doctors or hospital

I'm 25 I have three children 8 ,6 , 10 month old 2 weeks ago I had a heavy mixed period where I was in a a lot of pain and bleeding extremely heavily with clots and dark- bright I stopped bleeding heavily for a 6 days and was spotting then for 5 days I was having mixed dark - bright blood and then was spotting for 1 day and for the last 4 days I have a 2-3 big bleeds with little clots and then specks aswell as having a clear tissue after wiping my back through out the day my back pain is bare able but more like cramps and I have been suffering with head aches the past few weeks as well as loss of appetite and my balance.... since having my baby my periods haven't been nothing like that not heavy or clotty I have had sex 4 times with out contraception could this be a missscarrage I had one years ago when I was18 I can remember it being sort of similar but I'm not 100% or could this be something more as I'm yet to have a smear test done , can anyone advise me please so I know whats going on x

Thank you for your message. We're sorry to hear that you're having a difficult time with bleeding at the moment. We can't give specific medical advice as we're not your doctors, but we do recommend that any abnormal vaginal bleeding, i.e. bleeding that is different or unusual for you as an individual (everyone is different) is reported to your doctor, to see what's going on. There are many non-serious explanations for a heavier flow/big bleed but it's best to book an appointment as soon as you can. You're 25 so should be allowed to book in for your first smear as well, which is really important to keep up to date with.
