Hello,

I want to ask if a person ( male ) has HPV virus, is it possible to make a relationship with a girl knowing that she is still a virgin. or this will affect the girl.

and what if the person who is infected made a surgery and will be fine later, would this affect the girl if they had sex?

kind Regards

Hi there,

Thank you for your message. We're not entirely clear on your question, but if you are asking if a man who has HPV can pass it on to a female who is a virgin, then the answer is yes it is possible. HPV is passed through skin to skin sexual contact, meaning that penetration isn't necessary for it to transfer between people.

Surgery cannot get rid of HPV. The body's immune system often gets rid of HPV but it can come back again and so on.

If would like to ask more questions, then please feel free to email nurse@eveappeal.org.uk

Best Wishes,

Team Eve
