Eyes hurting and headache.
Hi kazbar
I take it your thyroid is overactive? If so it's the symptoms of overactive not the medication your on . I'm 43 and have overactive no 8 months on carbizole. Only when I started Carbizole did I start to feel better . If you take it at the same time each day I found morning best 30 mins before food with a full glasses of water more effective . Hope this helps

I've got Graves, the eye ache and headaches were definitely worse before the carbimazole kicked in properly, after 6 weeks it subsided. Tired - The reply I use when ever anyone asks me how I am. I think they get fed up of hearing this but that's exactly how I feel. I do vary it with shattered and kn***ered though😬
Hi ... I also have eye aches and headaches. I have Graves with the awful eye disease, graves ophthalmology. My endocrinologist did not dx it. My eye dr and I had noticed one eye looking bigger than the other and the red eyes and pain. Thankfully she referred me to an eye disease specialist. Saw my CT scan and dr explained about how far out of the socket position and it's both eyes with Rt being worse.
If pain continues, I would definitely tell your eye dr. I had told dermatology and gp and they sd put ice packs on eyes a couple times a day. That had no effect at all. I would not wish GO on anyone, only 7% of graves pts get this. Thank heavens there is tx called orbital decompression which is a surgery inside the eye socket. In Dec. just b4 holidays, Dr will take a bone out and put them back in. I am a little scared as I do not know anyone that has ever had this and I know it is a delicate surgery with risks.
Hopefully, you are feeling better by now and your eyes no longer hurt. But yes, eye pain is fairly normal for Graves disease.
