For those who may be interested: what will the Food Hospital Doctors make of Coeliac Disease - it might make for an interesting watch!

Their advert reads as follows:

"Visiting The Food Hospital next week is Phil with high cholesterol and the appetite of a giant and Alfie who has to watch what he eats with suspected coeliac disease. The experts Lucy and Gio investigate the potential brain-enhancing power of blueberries.

Wednesdays, 8pm on Channel 4"

they have already done a coeliac programme about a boy with tummy troubles and it turned out his dad had the same trouble, tests were done and coeliac diagnosed.

I get a bit fed up with the dietician in this programme--ok so she knows best- but she gets a bit "tetchy" when grown ups who really know their likes and dislikes say they do not like things like nuts, she has a wonderful array of faces she pulls! this is not very professional. and I think a lot of info they are giving flies in the face of what they are trying to teach us--- their message is,,,, have a balanced diet,,,, then good ole Pixie talks about all the superfoods out there which, as we all know, the less intelligent of us will try to the exclusion of other food groups.

Also what does not really come across is that the diets are tailored to those individuals and although a lot of people have similar /same symptoms they do not necessarily have the same disease. (as we know from all our people who have been misdiagnosed with IBS for years)
