The road to diagnosis and self diagnosis.

Hi folks, the struggle to get a proper diagnosis comes up time and time again in coeliac circles so I think that some will be interested in Elisabeth Hasselbeck and her story as she self diagnosed at first out of sheer frustration with Dr's fobbing her off and I could relate to her story on many levels and remember a Dr telling me that my stomach issues were stress and the Dr gave me tranq's which did not cure my stomach issues and I didn't like the damn things or their side effects. And Elisabeth went through the same.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a US TV presenter and this is an article about her book (The G free diet) so I'm not promoting it, I just think that this is an in depth article on her eventual diagnosis and well written and worth a read, please see:

Thanks for posting this Jerry. Has the diagnosing of coeliac disease got any better over the years? I guess not.
