Has anyone taken slippery elm and if so what did they think, are powders better than capsules?

I have taken the powder...it is VILE!!! I haven't thrown it away yet though-I will pluck up the courage to take it again one day. I would think the capsules will certainly be easier to take but would imagine you'd need to take quite a few for them to have any effect?

Thanks, did not fancy the tea so have bought the capsules, too early to tell yet.

I've been taking pure organic slippery elm powder for the past few weeks and so has my cat! It doesn't taste of much to me, slightly sour. If you add some hot water and mix in with a spoonful of powder it turns into a gel consistency and I add it to a spoon of mashed banana - also good for stomach acid as alkaline.

I'm using it for bouts of IBS and stomach cramps - seems to work. Apparently it soothes the lining of stomach and intestines. If you are using it for similar reasons, you may want to use the powder for a more immediate effect (will work out cheaper too) and to avoid any dodgy additives.

Another tip is to use it at least 20 minutes before a meal or taking supplements/medication, as its coating of the stomach walls can affect absorption.

I wasn't joking about my cat. I started researching SEB after I found out it helped feline gastro problems especially stomach acid!
