I have been told that seeing halos around lights could be an indication your cornea is swollen and this could be caused by high eye pressure.

I would get this checked out asap. When worried about just pressure I visit my local opticians for a quick test or head to the eye hospital

I am the same asked optician and eye hospital.i had it for

Over 12 months. Its in my right eye I had cornea graft

In 1983-so they say it’s probably result off age of graft

And do take eye drops for dry eyes and keep it moist as

Possible.also my job I cover 37 - 000 steps a day so

That also could effect too dry eyes

Good luck

As Pete says, halos can be a sign of high eye pressure, but there are other causes.

From my experience I've had halos when my pressures have peaked around the mid 30s, but I have also had halos when my eyes have been dry. This can be first thing in the morning, after a lot of screen work or late in the evening. The dry eye halos look slightly different and can often be blinked away.

I also experienced halos persistently for about 2 weeks after each trabeculectomy without accompanying high pressure or apparent dry eye. I also believe that cataracts can cause halo vision.

I'm sure there are other reasons as well, but it would be best to get checked over as soon as possible.

I was diagnosed with right eye glaucoma, and got drops for that eye. I had to be checked for my healthy left eye too, after one year, so this left eye pressure was normal.

Just after coming out from the eye doctor's office, I was amazed to see double figures with my healthy left eye, something that was not there before my visit on that day to be checking both eyes. I could not read the numbers and the destinations written on buses. The same night I began to see big halos around the street lamps, and around the headlights of cars.

The eye doctors did not know what was the cause, and they supposed that the culprit could be the sick right eye interfeering with the sight of the healthy left eye.

They increased the degree of my glasses from +2 to +3, which helped me read normally. At present, after 5 years, the big halos are still there at night, and I have to use glasses outside too, even when my right eye is totally blind, and would not "interfere" having created those halos in my left eye.

This is a possible sign or an acute attack. You may have already acted upon it, but if you haven't I would strongly recommend you go to the A & E rather than leave it.
