Hi does anyone have co-existing Glaucoma and Psoriasis? If so, what has been your understanding and experience with topical steroids prescribed for your skin? My partner has steroid-induced glaucoma and is a steroid responder. He's developed psoriasis as a result of stress and steroid use after his eye problems (assumed acute retinal necrosis, followed by glaucoma, followed by cataract - one eye) and is extremely reluctant after reading conflicting information about the effects of topical steroids on his glaucoma/cataract. Thanks!

Hello Calam1ty. The best thing to do would be for your partner to tell their consultant about the Psoriasis and the type of medication he will be using. His glaucoma consultant will look at the eye drops your partner is using and may look into changing them to a different one or even prescribe an additional drops to help with controlling his eye pressure.
