Apixiban and liver issues

I’m wondering if anyone on Apixiban has had liver issues. My husband had one episode of AFib and the doctors put him on Apixiban and within six weeks his liver enzymes were elevated. He is also on metoprolol. I take both and never had liver issues, and he usually tolerates medications well.
