If possible I'd like to see more updates on the charities view of how the NSC consultation is going ie have they had a lot of responses? Also on the charities efforts in raising awareness in maternity centres & in parliament, updates on the Early Day Motions progress & links to the latest news articles on GBS across the UK. 

Also could we arrange a parents conference of some kind, either online or face to face (somewhere in the middle of the country?) to gain more support, to unite us and to brainstorm ideas for campaigning! 

If we are ever going to change this then we, the parents affected must stand together! Thanks x

We set up Health Unlocked as a forum where people affected by group B Strep could share their knowledge and experience with each other. We already share updates on the charity's activities, including the NSC consultation, parliamentary activity, awareness campaigns, fundraising activities via our website, plus facebook, twitter and e-newsletters.

The charity used to have an annual conference in its early years but we stopped simply because of really low interest/attendance. We're more than happy to consider these again for the future though - thanks for the suggestion. I wonder how an online meeting would work.? Have you had experience of these Natalie? We could set up be Skype perhaps. Anyone else used this medium? We would need quite a tight agenda to keep everyone on track! Would be great to have meetings of supporters to get together and brainstorm awareness and fundraising in their areas. Anyone interested in hosting a local supporters meeting in their area ?
