I went to an urgent care extremely ill and they gave me a rapid strep test for strep A. It came back negative and they send my culture to the lab. Three days later they told me I was positive for strep B and gave me amoxicillin. I am 11 weeks pregnant, and super concerned if this means that i will always be strep B positive for when i go into labor in October. Or, am i going to have any complications throughout my pregnancy because of this? The doctors didn't seem to have much info for me.
Any advice on this? Thank you!

I'm so sorry to hear you were so ill - I hope you're better now. And huge congratulations on your pregnancy, that's very exciting!
You don't say from what sort of sample the GBS was identified. If it was from a urine sample, then it's important that your urine is retested 10-14 days or so after finishing the antibiotics to confirm the infection has gone from your urine. If it hasn't (which isn't likely, to be honest) then you should have more antibiotics.
UK guidelines recommend that, when GBS has been detected during the current pregnancy, Mum should be offered intravenous antibiotics from the start of labour or waters breaking at term, until delivery.
