my daugher is 37weeks and the dr just told her the baby has strep... how did the baby get step? and how bad is this?

I'm not clear how a doctor would have established the baby had a strep infection before the he/she has been born. How is your daughter? Is the doctor talking about group B Strep or one of the other Streps (A, C, milleri, etc)?

I'm afraid it's impossible for us to try to answer your question without understanding a little more. Of course the best person to ask the questions of would be your daughter's health professionals - they'll have access to her notes and should be able to answer all the questions she has.
