Mirena coil question

Hi, before I had coil fitted I had minor endometriosis and troubles with heavy bleeding. So I've had coil in since June and I've been great. No pain or bleeding then since Christmas Eve I came on my period with bad pain and I've been on and off since. Is this normal?
