Does anyone with fnd/neads feel fearful? Recently my seizures/absences have become much more frequent and am feeling real fear about doing anything, although I am still forcing myself to go out every day and I know that when I am sitting on the bus or in a group of people I'm there but I'm not there if you know what I mean. I forget what I have been doing and feel like I am having permanent aura sensations and sensing that a seizure is going to occur and it is making me feel "scared" and distressed which then increases the possibility of an attack!

hey I completely understand how you are feeling as I have just been diagnosed with NES it is good to keep the mind distracted but sometimes it is hard I know music can to a good distraction just find a song that speaks to your soul and try focusing on the words and try to forget others around you for a while.

I totally understand. I had an issue with an organisation I stood up to them. Gave information about disability, what they should do medically and still got negative comments. One being is this a suitable place for me to be. If I followed this and other people's views like this I should not go out because a seisure could happen. They do not appreciate the guts it takes to be out worrying and facing other symptoms that are happening too us. A seisure itself is a bad enough occursnde. People also focus on the seisure like this is all illness involves. The seisure is one part not the whole way it effects sufferers. Through this period I got support from friends to begin with but not all the way through. I did not get texts, supportive calls or visits from friends from this organisation I visited. I feel disapointed with people. The calm campaign tgat is "on tv channel Dave illustrates what suffers need in one part. This is support and made to feel valued and supported has human beings. A person may not not have a wife/girlfriend etc to give them support or if they do don't feel supported by them. For sufferers situation to be appreciated and not comments such has it is same for them, non sufferers. I know life is hard, tought for everyone. I appreciate and can see and accept this l just am asking for us to be given the same support I give To others has I give myself to others. Lastly it is disgusting how we are treated by medical profession but public too including police. I once was was told just go get a taxi home like I was faking Seisure. I could add more but you will know I think from your own lived experiences the negatives. I would love to meet another suffer(s) in person not done so yet. Also any organisation or person who help support me in battling the prejudice. Ignorance around yhis condition. I think all seisure sufferers should stand together for future sufferers. If we do nothing nothing will change indeed it will just get worse for us.
