As most who read posts on PCa forums know, the issues that are discussed in this heartfelt article are ones we have either experienced personally, know someone who has, or read of those on our forums who have.

The second link is to Dr. Katz's ASCO Connection blog where she has many posts that address issues relevant to all PCa patients. I encourage all who read here to find the time to browse through her postings, as therein is much knowledgeable compassion for the issues we individually and/or collectively face.

We should also hope that if/when we have emotional issues related to living with PCa, we are fortunate enough to connect with someone like Dr. Katz.

Pity cujoe this post isn't up on the main forum for access by all. The articles by Dr Katz, including the one you've linked, are beautifully written, simple but insightful and sensitive, touching on subjects so often avoided. Seems a shame to deprive a wider audience of this material which would give encouragement and understanding to many struggling with or searching for answers to these issues. At least you've provided those on FPC with that opportunity.

Marnie,

Feel free the re-author it elsewhere. I meant to add a tag at the end asking for the link to Dr. Katz to be shared around. In her various blog posts, she covers the full range of sexual and emotional issues that PCa individuals and couples often confront - and does so with the empathetic grace you so well describe. It's the sort of help we all need at some time and place, and which, unfortunately, most oncologists are ill-equipped to provide.
