This is an UPDATE to the previously posted article from MedPage Today. The full research paper is now available in PDF form. It is a very useful guide in understanding the current SOC treatment options for advanced disease based on currently available biomarkers, BCR, low/high volume, metastatic/non-metastatic disease state, and issues related to treatment sequencing. Good summary for advanced patients to have handy when they review their current treatment status and options with their oncologist.

Thank you cujoe for posting this excellent comprehensive overview of treatment options at various stages. The interwoven references to the outcomes from the various trials was particularly helpful in discerning why some treatments might be preferred over alternatives. The full research paper was definitely well worth reading and I would think, for many, one for filing away for future reference if and when needed.

K9,

Thanks for posting... there is nothing like a treatment diagram to keep things straight forward for patients... as drugs are approved and fine tuning continues on treatment this will get a lot more complex.... Look for a new treatment diagram in 2-3 years....
