Lutetium versus actinium

My husband was advised to use lutiteum 177 and then his oncologist told him it wont do him any progress and he advised him to use actinium.

Now I am confused. Both wont be covered by the insurance. And as you know these treatments are with thousand of dollars.

So I hv to be careful. Should we start with litetium first although the oncologist said we wont benefit? Or should we go with actinium directly? And how about the side effects of both?

Sorry this answer is so late... I just got here...

You should get a GA68 PSMA scan to measure SUV... the amount of PSMA uptake... This will give you some indication of the efficacy of Lu-177 treatment...

In Germany, they are doing a combo treatment of Lu-177 and AC-225 that has less of the salivary gland toxicity from just Lu-177...There are some tips to dealing with the salivary gland toxicity below:
