Hi Rozs, Sorry to hear about this. It seems to be similar to my experience although I had the same issue after 8 years. When referred to the Oncologist it was suggested that I have 37 sessions of radiotherapy with hormone treatment. I declined the latter and just had the radiotherapy. It did the trick for me and after 15 years I am unrecordable, so have been very lucky. Hope your dad has a similar result. Roy

I had radiotherapy about 10years ago and my psa went down to 0.01. A couple of years ago it started to climb. Saw the oncologist, had a bone scan and he said he would just monitor it and was not bothered unless it went to over 10 and had not stabilised.

It did go over ten. He put me on Zoladex and last check it was down to 6.0 and still dropping. The plan is once it is down and stable he will take me off again.

A rise in PSA is not the end of what can be done
