Could the pain in my Echilese tendon be attributed to my RA?

Hi

First of all I’m not a medical person. My understanding is that pain in the Achilles’ tendon can be caused by 🤔running or jumping🤭 or changing your footwear to sandals or flip flops (no support). So does your health authority allow self referral to a physio. In our area we can go online and make a request, it’s triaged and get an appointment depending on on how urgent they think it is. Otherwise consult your GP.

From my experience tendons are at risk in RA patients. Many years ago my tendons on the back of my hand snapped 3 of them were tied to another. And now because I have a reverse shoulder the tendons in that joint are at risk.

Hope you find an answer.

Thank you for your reply.. I will take your advice & visit my GP & perhaps get a referral to a Physio 😊
