Sperm DNA test

Hello. We have had one failed IVF round as a positive test turned into a chemical pregnancy. My semen tests have all come back with good results so I was wondering if anyone has experience with the Sperm DNA test? I was wondering if it is worth having it done to find out a bit more about why we are struggling to conceive.

Yes, we had the COMET test. Although sperm fragmentation normally results in poor blastocyst rates so if you are getting blastocysts have you been advised to have the DNA test?

Hello Anna. No haven't been advised to just considering it myself. What is a COMET test? From 13 eggs, 3 turned into embryos and blastocysts. Is this a poor rate?

Three blastocysts from three embryos is the best rate!! 😊

I would check with your doctor before doing the test, although always good to get tests done. It costs about 350 pounds for the COMET x
