Hi i just wanted to wish you well with your frozen transfer, i have frozen embryos waiting in the freezer and i question this all of the time the only thing i can really say to help you is that it only takes one and just because your fresh did not work does not mean your frozen one wont, the frozen one might be a stronger one and if your clinic has reassured you then i would try to just relax and trust them i know its hard because ive been there and know the disappointment of a failed transfer but try to believe in your embryo..x

I no its frustrating not knowing whats going to happen and its hard not to quiz things all the time. We have 7 frozen 3 of them being day 5s and 4 of them being day 6s and I was told they were all the same, we were never told about grades as our clinic use the good, fair and poor to describe the embryos and we were told they were really good quality, that's it. Did you go through NHS or Private. x

7 good qaulity is a nice amount to have.im having it on the nhs.i would love to b able to go private as you get more of say on how many you have put back in.with the nhs your only aloud 1 transfer at a time.hows about you.private or nhs.when are having yours embies transferd.x

Hi I am NHS we get 3 funded cycles plus the replacement of the frozen ones. I get what you mean about private patients but I think the legal limit is 2 private or NHS due to high multiple births. We were told we could have 2, put back with the frozen as they have a lower chance. Ive just had surgery on Friday to remove my remaining fallopian tube as it had a small hydrosalpinx in it and had a hysteroscopy to check my uterine cavity which was found normal :) we have a follow up appointment in 6 weeks just to make sure ive healed up ok and to see how I am. I think we will also talk about the frozen transfer then too. What is your infertility may I ask.x

P.s both of my tubes were blocked and i had an over grown cyst on my left ovary.i was lucky as they were going to take my left but managed to save it.x

Hi I had my right tube removed in 2004 due to eptopic pregnancy and my left tube removed on Friday because of a small hydrosalpinx, they don't usually remove the tubes unless its a big hydrosalpinx nut I was not taking any chances especially just having a failed IVF, I will never know if it was the fluid in the tube that made the IVF fail or If it was just not a strong embryo so I asked to get the tube removed and they did. I had key hole surgery, I am feeling ok now just giving it another week to settle down, I am sorry to hear you had to get a ovary removed too but im glad they saved your other ovary. How many eggs did you get in your retrieval. x

Oh im sorry to hear you had an eptopic pregnancey.i had to have my right tube taken out before i started my ivf as my RE would not do it due to the fact that if i did got pregers the fluid in my tube could have released itself into my womb and kill my embrio so you defo done the right thing by having it taken away.key hole surgery is so much easier on the body.im glad your feeling not to bad.i had 10 eggs an 7 fertilised but we only had 2 good 1ns left.the clinic told me they think they might have made a mistake by nt using the 1 they put on ice first as its top quality.i wasnt happy about it but at least i knw i got a nice lil frostie waiting.just make sure you get plenty of rest over the nxt few days.x

Hi 10 eggs is a really good number for just having one ovary so well done. Was your hydrosalpinx big or was it just small like mine, I just feel like I have giving my self the best chance having it removed. The clinic told me when I had the failed IVF that the embryologist might of just thought it was the right one or that it was just not a strong one so similar to what they told you. I bet the one that's frozen is your better one :) sometimes it just takes having more then one transfer to get the correct embryo so don't worry. x

I really didn think i would have 10 and certainly didn think i would have 7 fertilise so i was ova the moon with that :-).you have defo done all you can to improve your chances.the fluid in my tube was only somin like 1'n'half cms.i could have had it unblocked apart from the fact it was way to close to my ovary for my doc to chance it.ive got more faith in the lil frostie i got nw.are you having a natural or medicated fet cycle or have you not decided.im optin for a natural 1 ths time.the only thing im goin to b taking is oestrogen an pessaries.x

Hi, I asked about this during our cycle a while back and they said there was around a 95% chance of an embryo surviving the freeze and the thaw. That was just the advice of one person at the clinic (an embryologist I think) but it was certainly much higher than I'd expected, so I found it quite reassuring. Thought I'd pass it on anyway - really good luck!
