Hi just wanted to know if 34.4 ovarian reserve is good as that is what my blood results were, will I have plenty of eggs for IVF/ICSI.

yes I realise. I am hopeing everything will work out because all my blood test are fine took. I am only having ivf because of an absent tube and other blocked, ive also had my remaining tube checked for a hdyrosalpinx and there was no evidence so I do not need surgery before treatment thankfully. I started Buserlin yesterday and I am not having very many side effects, I hope it is working

I wondered if you can explain my partners sperm sample anaylsis, he got normal range but his mortility was 23% and it was ment to be 32% also he got 0% for morphology and 58% alive. I worry about this alough the clinic said don't worry there is still sperm there, do they mean he has every chance to fertalise the eggs still. I think he has got Azoospermia what ever that means.
Hi danielledavison. I doubt whether your partner has azoospermia! That means no sperm in the semen. In those cases it is sometimes possible to aspirate (put a needle in) and get some sperm from different parts of the testicles. From what you have described his sperm have a slight problem with motility (their ability to swim in a straight line) and morphology (the shape). With perfect sperm, they need to be able to swim in a straight line and also to have a tapered “nose”. If they can’t swim properly, then it is difficult for them to reach their destination, and also they need to wiggle to irritate the egg to let it in. Poor shaped sperm have the problem that they cannot enter the egg, so this is why men with these sorts of problems usually have to go through ICSI with their partner, so that a single sperm can be injected into a single egg, when hopefully fertilisation will take place. All the information needed is in the head of the sperm, the tail is just a transport system to get up to the egg and to “worry” it to let it inside. This was a huge achievement when ICSI was invented, which enabled previously infertile men to father their own child. Hope his explains it a bit for you. Diane
