A letter? That's odd, did they not speak to you at the time of the scan? They'll call you in now, but this means that under the protocol that they used, for what ever reason, your ovaries didn't respond.

That doesn't mean the end of the line, they might need to change the Chlomid dose, or look at something more invasive and aggressive such as IVF.

Whichever, they should be having you in to discuss your options with you. I'd possibly, if you were strong enough, feedback that the letter upset you and you prefer to be communicated with in a different way.

Good luck

Thanks FG yes i am writing into the hospital to voice my displeasure of how the letter was worded, as since we have spoken to someone there who has said it didn't mean what it sounded like. since we received the letter on a friday afternoon after work we have had all weekend with it on our mind before getting in touch with the hospital.

Hi ricknshelley. Yes, I agree with FG – seems very uncaring to me to just send a letter. I would have thought that they would have suggested an appointment to discuss future options with you. Of course there are often many other options to try, so when you do get to see the consultant again, you need to discuss them thoroughly beforehand. Good luck. Diane
