I did facial exercises today after yesterday morning being diagnosed with Bell’s palsy. I am now red in the cheeks and slight neck pain? Did I do damage???

Hopefully not but it's important not to try and work the muscles and nerves too quickly. They need time to heal and regrow and if you excercise them too soon they can switch back on in the wrong way - sykenisis I think it's called. The best thing you can do at the moment is rest. Do you have steroids and anti virals? Taking meds is Also very important at this stage x

You can over do it

the key to remember is that your veins are being compressed by inflammation. Forcing them to release tension and function correctly is not possible.

Squeeze your wrist...when it swells your fingers become stiff and hard to move... this is similar to what the face experiences.

Ive had this for 6 yrs im 98.9% better but when i stress or get upset it comes back
