Hi, I'm 21 years old and suffered from Bells Palsy during my pregnancy, from December 2014 until April 2015. It has almost completely gone but as soon as I'm slightly tired my face drops on the left side and my speech can be slurred. My eye doesn't always blink too and it gets me down so badly at times.
Does this get better in time?!

Hi, I can completely relate. I too had bp in pregnancy & 10 months on its still quite bad where synkinesis has set in. It's very hard to stay positive at times but I try my best, I would suggest asking your gp for a referral to a specialist (I go to the Queen Victoria Hospital) so that if you need any treatment you can start it ASAP - do you have drops for your eyes? It sounds quite promising that yours has almost completely gone save for when you're tired so don't give up hope, push your gp to be referred.
Please persist for a referral to a specialist, I go to the John Radcliffe Hospital after having suffered for 7 years...wished I had known earlier. Get as much help as you can. I can relate entirely to you, as my face and speech tend to be affected when I am tired.
