Let's talk about prevention.

This is a space for those who are Type 2 diabetic or those who have been told they are at risk of Type 2 diabetes. You're not alone in your fear of the unknown or the feeling that you don't have control over what's happening to your body. It is overwhelming and can feel quite isolating.

At EXi we believe knowing the numbers can be good; significant studies have shown up to 58% of people with Type 2 diabetes can reverse their condition with changes to diet and increasing physical activity levels. This is something you can start to take control of!

EXi's exercise prescription takes your long-term health condition into account and we assure you, every single step counts. You will get to know your body in so many ways, but we're also here to tell you that with EXi you're going to learn that you are capable of preventing Type 2 diabetes through intensity-based physical activity.

Movement can be fun!

Diabetes UK is a great resource for all, highlighting that Type 2 diabetes can even be reversed with early diagnosis if significant lifestyle choices occur - this includes becoming more active and making healthier eating choices.

We're here to support you. You know your body best and we know the science to help you. It’s a dream team.

Becoming more active and consciously making healthy food choices is where I am now. Its hard work and often difficult to manage along with a busy work life. Some lapses but I am persevering because I know that it will pay off in the long run. I am putting a stronger focus on movement because I have been desk bound for too long! 😀

It is so important that you've acknowledged the lapses but are still persisting. We know it can't be easy, especially when holding yourself accountable during a busy work life. Movement is definitely the key, and I think those short 10 minute desk breaks can be underestimated. It sounds like you're making an effort every day, keep it up!
