Do your children have external signs of needing a poo but ignore it then deny any knowledge.

To parents of soilers. Do your children appear to get signs of needing to go to the toilet, like crouching down or stopping what they are doing, but put it off then say they didn't feel anything? Later you discover soiling.

Yes my son now 6 has done this for about 3 years and will deny he needs the toilet. We now have "tries" a couple of times a day and I get him to blow up a balloon whilst on the toilet and it has really helped

My daughter has just turned 5 and we've been struggling with impaction for about the last year or so. Its a constant battle every day for us to convince her to listen to her body. We have a decent toilet routine after every meal with blowing water through a straw (which 80% of the time produces a poo within 5 minutes) but she refuses to initiate anything. Its so frustrating.I'm almost certain that the feeling (though probably stretched) is there as she can tell me when she did the accident but she can't seem to grasp wind/tummy ache or any other early signs of needing the toilet. Either that or she's too busy playing to notice. I'm at my wits end to be honest and starting to worry the constant 'pressure' of going to the toilet is having an affect on all our mental health. 🙄

My son is 9. He is similar although sometimes he will go at home.

I've been recommended at wobl+ watch, that you can set alarms on and it vibrates. Don't suppose anyone has had success with one? I'm seriously considering getting one so it can remind her when she's playing not to forget to go to the toilet...

I tried but he just ignored it as well as everything else. Currently getting teachers to prompt at breaks and he gets rewarded if he tries to go to the loo by letting him go on his switch.
