I'm writing on here tonight in regards to my vp shunt that I have. Last month my neurologist ordered a ct scan do to the fact I hadn'thad one in over10 years or longer. After they got the results back from the ct scan results showed possible fractures and or breakage of my shut. After seeing that on the ct scan xrays of my neck were ordered as well for the tubing that goes down my neck into my abdomen. Well xrays of my shunt showed the same as the ct scan did.So now my neurologist is say my shunt isn't working at all, but isn't wanting me to go to my original neurosurgeon that put my shunt it when I was an infant. He said the ct scan isn't showing fluid on my brain so there's no need to see my surgeon. But this still worries me. What if something does happen? Show I go see my Surgeon to see what he suggest? Something tells me I should.
