The seizures I have had today....once i've came around, I have had this incredible urge to vomit which has never happened before, i'm sooo scared. Has this happened to anyone else?? Not seeing my neuro until 8th June. Cheers.

Hi my partner is sick after a seizure and then sleeps for a long time. But in our experience after he is sick he usually has another seizure. Sorry its not the best experience x

I'm fortunate in having 'mild' conscious seizures (touch wood). But since they started in January I tend to get nausea and/or what I call violent retching after my brain has been 'taxed' by an activity. (i.e. not necessarily to do with a seizure). They 'shake' me up quite a bit, a sort of 'shock', but usually I feel a bit better and need to rest after. I suspect its part of the 'stress' on the brain.

It is tough on you both and yes is a bit scary, disconcerting when new symptoms arise. I hope you can get to talk to a neurologist and /or epilepsy nurse, GP to share your concerns and get explanations.

Thinking of you both

I think you probably had concussion. The first seizure i had before i knew what was happening i fell and gave my head a massive whack. Concussion and vomited. x

Hi Nicole, when I have a seizure I feel really disorientated afterwards with severe headaches, feel really sick & diaoreah, I do find having a sleep usually helps but guess thats not possible for you, maybe your GP can prescribe something to take the feeling away, I always worry that I'm not going to make it to the toilet in time and always need to know where the loo's are and don't like to travel too far so I know I can be home in time. It sucks, but I try not to let it stop me doing stuff as I too have kids but mine are now a bit more independent so kind of know what they need to do in the event. I hope things improve for you, I have a really sympathetic Epilepsy Nurse and it does help to talk things through with her. Is there anyone you can talk to??
