Hey there. I have just been informed that I have an ovarian cyst and I might also have endometriosis, I'm freaking out and don't really know much about this. I'm 32 years old and my husband and I want to have kids so I'm scared that this will make it harder, any advice to understand this better and get calm?

The unknown is a hard place to be and fear can really put you in a difficult place . It’s okay to be shaken and shocked. Take time to gather yourselves so you can navigate this. I’ve had endometriosis, cysts and now have adenomyosis too and managed to have kids without intervention. Some women need helpand yes without sugar coating for some it’s something that doesn’t happen but until you have more information it’s hard to know where you might sit. Waiting is really tough so I feel for you both and my best advice is be kind to yourself and give yourself the best care. You can look at all manner of sources but the ones I’ve found really helpful are the ones where women with endo have fought and found answers themselves and their journeys can be encouraging, supportive and they know the pain at every level. I like @ heal-endo as she has a lot of great info and resources. Put that together with really good medics and your onto the best care.

Be aware that many medics know little about endo and that can lead to unhelpful and ill informed comments which can knock you side wards . So ask here and get the best referrals to the top experts . Ask a million questions and don’t be afraid to ask for clarification of all the options.

Safe journey and we are here.

Thank you so much this means a lot, I also have had three colposcopies because i had a positive smear test and still have a CN1 and now that things are getting better I find out of these, it’s quite frustrating and like you said doctors (specially GPs) don’t know much about these matters and tend to make comments that scare and confuse even more, I feel very happy that i found this space and finally can talk openly about these matters, thank you so much :)
