Hi! If the junctional zone is more then 11mm, it is an indicator of Adenomyosis. The only firm way of diagnosing for sure is a hysterectomy. I’ve just turned 21 and was diagnosed a year ago. It’s a difficult one because even GPs don’t understand what Adeno is, and have a limited knowledge of Endo.

I’m currently in induced menopause to try and help but it isn’t working for me. Which means I’m out of options because a hysterectomy is out of the question.

Try researching it a bit. It may take some time since it isn’t massively well known. There are others of us out there! X

Not a problem at all. I was on Decapeptyl for 7 months and then Prostap for 6. Neither worked for me and I’m currently refusing Zoladex on various grounds

Thank you for responding. Good to see the names of the other drugs.

They’re all essentially the same drug. Some women get on better with one, some women don’t get along with any. Decapeptyl and Prostap are injections into the bun/tummy. Zoladex is into the tummy but it’s harsher (from what I understand) because it’s an implant

Hi there! I've not heard of the term junctional zone but last year following a couple of scans, I was told that from those scans, they were indicative that I have adenomyosis (obviously the only real way to diagnose is hysterectomy but I haven't been able to fall pregnant after 9 years of trying, 3 ivfs and lots of other procedures so that's not an option). And this is now on my medical records as something I suffer from.

I'm on a wait list for surgery, a lap and a hysteroscopy to see if I also have endo. After suffering since I was 12, I'm now 36 and finally being taken seriously about my pain.
