menstrual cycle after lap

i had a lap done 2 weeks ago and got my period a week after my concern is ive been 6 days with heavy bleeding I usually would have this type of bleeding the first and second day! but so far I've been six days like this!! im nervous not sure if this normal how long should your first period last and should the bleeding be so heavy for so many days
