I’ve got neck exercises for the neck pain that do ease it. Plus a special neck cushion. But do you get like a clunk sometimes in your neck? That’s a lot of pills though. But as long as your pill cocktail is helping you it’s worth it.

I’m a walking pill box, too. I have to carefully fill a tablet box before I go to bed every night. The tablet box has had to increase in size over the past 10 years as additional meds are prescribed .

Hi Heavychunky1,

Here's my medication list that helped a lot for your knowledge.

Phenytoin (formerly known as Epanutin) 150mg twice a day, Clonazepam 2mg at night,

Escitalopram 15mg,

Pantoprazole 20mg twice a day, and vitamin d3 1,400 International Units, that's how they measure vitamin d3. I don't need pull boxes, I'm so used to taking medication all my life (Phenytoin and Clonazepam) and I've never missed a dose in my entire life. I'm so sorry to hear some of you need pill boxes to remind you to take your meds and/order new ones. I have a set routine I have had since I first became an adult. I'm very independent when it comes to stuff like that.

I wish I could be with each of you whenever you're due for your medication, I would have put them in front of you an hour before then I would , let you know hen it's time to take it/them and then I would have let you know when you'd had it/them. Imagine me being with you, nobody would miss their medication or upcoming appointment/important dates etc, or forgetting what they did yesterday or last week, ( if only I was with those of you who require that type of support at home).

I have a battery powered carousel that reminds me and dispenses my meds 4 times a day. It's full to the brim and always surprises any visitor. Pain relief is additional - I have to face it I'm not 23 any more. Oh well .....

My reminders are , the other half. A pill box and a app called Medisafe for the phone , which is actually pretty good. , my heads mush when it comes to remembering pills

Hi Heavychunky1, It's good to have your other half there and the Medisafe app on your phone and a pill box.

I'm so sorry to hear that your head goes to mush when it comes to remembering your medication. I sometimes wish you had my head.

In addition to the carousel, I have a wrist reminder and my lady wife. But I find as soon as anything is out of view, I forget it entirely. But I wouldn't be here without the meds etc. so have to keep on.

The carousel sounds interesting what it can do and everything. It's good that you have your wife.

If ever anything is out of view, try and imagine if I was with you in the flesh. I'm not 23 any more either, but as we all know no two people are the same. Let's try not to think too negative about our age, but rather to focus on the life we do have now.

Here I am after a full lifetime of the after effects of encephalitis, as I had 'E' the day after my first birthday and I seem to be aging well for a woman. I have two years before I'm 50.

Apart from my chronic complex OCD, I'm ok in all other areas. I had a developmental delay but I allow myself extra thinking time before I speak/type write, and I'm more of a listener, I also practiced new things I've learnt along the way, regards to disinhibition, it has got to a manageable level now, I'm what one would expect of someone the same age, in other words I have the ability to do things people of my age would be expected to... Well, not bad going really, considering nobody knew I had a brain injury growing up. Oh well, that's me.

Thank you - the machine is a Tab Time - they also do the wrist alarm.

I was very shy as a child and it took me a long time to learn to speak in a social setting (in my 20s). We were taught to be seen and not heard and not to boast. Eventually I was able to go on stage as a comedian reading my poetry. There is nothing to fear after a couple of pints!

Applause, praise and compliments still have zero impact though. :-)

PS I'm convinced Enc. keeps people looking young. People think I'm in my 50s so you must look about 25!

Best Wishes, G2
