2 years today I was given a 20% chance of living ❤ I had encephalitis and meningitis.

I'm only writing this just to say to people who are in the early started of going through this illness to believe in yourself and you can get there ❤

It's a hard journey and I still have little things to deal with daily.

But I do it all with a smile on my face because I am still here. I was hit with this illness the day before my little boy was due and feel lucky to be here with my family.

Sending love to everyone dealing with this illness and all the families trying to help their loved ones xx

Well done. I know it has been hard and continues to be.

The way I deal with my partner's encephalitis is that I have promised him that one day we can look back at this and smile and everything will have become better. I've started visualising what that moment looks like. It's a set-up I keep building on. At the moment it involves a campervan, mountains, a sunset and a after dinner glass of wine before bed.
