Appears there potentially could be a benefit. I've not seen anything that says it would be harmful.

I haven’t tried kefir but I have kombucha. It does seem to help with my g.i issues. Beforehand I would suffer terribly from stomach pains and bloating which happened everyday. I use a non alcoholic version which is also sugar free called Nexbe.

It is best to check with your Doctor on any dietary change. There is phosphorus in milk and if your CKD diet restricted on phosphorus could be a problem.
