I have never tried it. It is very expensive and I don't find any info where a probiotic such as Renadyl is proven to help Creatinine. I have read Chitosan may help, but not Rendadyl. Curious to see what others say.

Could be all placebo and pseudo-science on my part, but I've started taken "elysium health basis" that increases NAD+ levels in the body and that made my bloodwork better and I feel physically better. You should research it before you make a decision on anything. Just type in NAD and CKD.

Also, I just looked at your profile. It seems that your creatinine has actually come down in your most recent lab work. You always want to look for an upward trend if you are worried about progression in CKD. A helpful thing to do would be to look at your lab work from the last few years and see if you can establish any upward trend of your creatinine and then see how fast it is progressing. People who are at highest risk of progression for CKD are those with diabetes, immune disorders, severe heart disease, and those with high-blood pressure. The older you are, the less likely you are to decline quickly too, based on many studies.

thanks for sharing your thoughts.

my creatinine in Dec19 was 1.84 and in July 20 it is 1.82.

In between it was swinging between 1.74 to 2.09.

I checked my blood in Dec.19 for the first time in my life

Then you've established no upward trend yet, which is a good thing. You're just going to have to make sure that your blood pressure isn't being affected or that you start urinating bubbles or very dark colored urine.

Your current creaintine would put you in stage 3b CKD. There's not much they do in that stage intervention wise. It just comes down to diet, monitoring BP, making sure your body isn't hanging on to excess vitamins or minerals, and getting your blood checked every 3-6 months.

That's quite a long run of good health you've had if you are just being checked now!

yes. surely.

I have been regularly working out in Gym since last twenty eight years and I never felt that I had any health problems.I used to take whey protein off and on . I do not know if that has caused any creatinine problems. I somehow felt like getting blood tested in Dec. 19 and I did it. Now I am strictly monitoring diet specially 3 Ps and sodium.

Just to share another piece of information:

Apart from creatinine there is another biomarker for kidney function which is Cystatin C.

it was 1.64 in December 19 and in July it has come down to 1.18.

I am hoping creatinine to also come down

My nephrologist feels that may be it is tendency of my body to have stable elevated creatinine.Of course I will keep on monitoring blood levels
