3 months before my creatinine level was 1.2 mg/dL. Yesterday i had tests on urine and blood. Now i have 0.8 mg/dL of creatinine...So my creatinine level has gone down..So what does that mean ?..Within 3 months significant decrease in creatinine level is seen..I am happy..But what are the reasons that could result in this change ?...My lab result is shown herewith...

Hi, Sigin. First of all... congratulations. There are three main reasons for your initial high score and it could be any combination of the three. You could have been dehydrated, and/or just done strenuous exercise within the past 48 hours leading up to the test, and/or you could have eaten a lot of bad food (meat of any kind). All raise creatinine levels.

It would really be interesting if you post your typical diet and exercise program and how much water you drink per day.

Thanks Bro...i think dehydration might be the reason ..Didn't workout at that time .so that reason couldn't be the reason..😁

Please know that even a creatinine of 1.2 is still in the normal range. I would be ecstatic that now it's 0.8! I am post transplant and if I don't drink enough water before I have my labs done, it will affect my creatinine, GFR and BUN. My nephrologist will repeat the labs in a week and they will be OK, because I am remembering to drink. I know sometimes it's hard to do when you are work, but maybe you could always take a bottle of water with you.
