I have had shivers for days and feel very cold. What could be the cause?

Hello Lapetite. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It's possible that you have a bacterial or viral illness. As you have been suffering for a number of days I would suggest that you contact your GP or health professional.

I’ve been to my internist four times in the past 4 weeks. They did find a bacterium in the urine apart from the nephrotic syndrome. It was treated.

Cold or flu most probably there’s a lot going round

I have that occasionally. Always wondered about thyroid since intolerance to cold is a symptom. Shivering I hear a lot from clients with anxiety

You might be anemic which is quite common in CKD. You need to have your iron and hemoglobin levels checked. If they are low you might be advised by your doctor to take iron supplements or even iron infusions if real low.

Thank you. Yes the iron fell a lot tho not really low in absolute terms. I will ask about a supplement.
