I too have prostate problems and contributed to CKD. I am also at level 3. My Doctor put me on a renal diet and prescribed exercise. My CKD progression has slowed down. I am age 77. My Urologist is also monitoring. I do take med for BPH. You have come to a good forum for sharing and support.

Hi there. How has it been since the blockage wad relieved? Have you had any improvement since the last 3 years?
Hi back, The blockage was permanently "repaired" through operation to my bladder after 6 months of repeated hospital visits. That was necessary in order to reestablish urine flow from my left ureter to the bladder. When first diagnosed on regular Urologe check-up my creatinine level was 2,09 and filtration rate of my kidneys was down to 30%.
Recovery of my kidney functions came very soon - within 10-15 days - following the decision of my urologe to proceed in a small operation "connecting" the left kidney to a urine bag externally attached to my body (sorry I do not recall the medicine terminology). Blood tests shown my creatine levels to be down to 1.60, 1.44 and after the final operation 1.30
