I've not heard that label, but the best book I've come across on dyslexia is called 'the dyslexic advantage' and although the title sounds very happy clappy it is a brilliant analysis of the spectrum of dyslexia, neurologically as well as experientially and gave me so much deeper insight into what is going on for my daughter and therefore how better to help her. Its a book I'd reccommend to anyone!
