Hi, I would say to talk to the dialysis staff about how you're feeling. There is a medication for nausea they can give you through the dialysis line. They should also be able to help with the headaches you are experiencing. Dialysis can be stressful and scary, especially at first while your body is getting used to it. I used to do deep breathing when they put the needles in and eventually used a numbing cream on the fistula an hour before my treatment. I also found it helps to have things to do during the long treatment to take my mind off of it. I used to read a lot because the tv got boring. Other people brought their cellphones or tablets and quite a few slept through it. And take the time to get comfortable with pillows, warm clothing and blankets. It all helps! Hope you'll feel better soon!
