I am a dialysis doctor. If you need anything to ask please feel free
Hi everybody : I am a dialysis doctor. If... - Dialysis Support
Hi everybody
Hi, I started heamodialisys 7 days ago, i am just concerned that my bp is very high after dialisys, sometime 203/110. what can I do to bring it down?
I have the same problem. Leaves me with a headache. Has Dr Basti suggested anything? I started on PD and had a far better life than I do on hemo. I've been dialysing for 13 years so far - 3 on hemo and hate it. Wish I could go back to PD and get my life back!
Have you a cure for during and post cramp in hands and feet?
I seriously need a nephrologist who really understands dialysis. I also have high blood pressure at the end of a hemo session - even gives me headaches. I have Amloc to control BP but BP still high.
What do you know about nutrients (Vitamins, amino acids etc) taken out by hemodialysis? How do you supplement for this to maintain nutrition?
Thanks!
describe the effect that renal dialysis will have on patient medication
Are you asking for yourself? It depends a lot upon if you were doing hemodialysis, or peritoneal dialysis. There are also variables as to how long your treatments are, and how much fluid is removed. We are not you have to look at the medication individually, and determine if it is dialyzed out during treatment, or not . It’s more science thing because they have to look at molecule size, and how the medication is metabolized. Most dialysis nurses have access to a chart or application and I can tell if the medication is removed by Dialysis. Not all medications have been tested or observed in either type of dialysis.
Hi
I am a male 71 years old and have been in hemo dialysis for 6 months...3 times a week and weekend off.
My spvt/v was 1.82 a month ago and the latest "report card" is 1.75.
I have noticed that my dialyzer machine light turns to yellow for about 2 hours and does not change to green.
Should I be worried that my spvt/v number is slowly decreasing and more toxins are staying in my blood. Please advise. Thank you.
