And I’m a 33 year old college student earning a second bachelors degree and about to get a full time job - hopefully. My first transplant was from my mother at age 6 - and lasted 26 years. Now I’m trying to get on two separate transplant lists and still find time to play with my cat.
One thing that I have learned while on HD - besides getting used to canalization and the alarms - is that you never know how you are going to feel when you get off the machine. However, Hemo also won’t run your life if you don’t let it. I stick to my treatment times like glue, but I also remember that I am a college student as well and try to keep myself occupied as much as I can.
