the blood sugar level does not remain in prescribed range. it reads about 220 and if i increase oral dose power, it falls as low as 60.

You are indulging in self medication which is dangerous.Please get your Hba1c tested and then take advise from a qualified doctor.Never increase or decrease diabetic medication on your own.
