yes, absolutely your question is right and mindful...in simply, everything has a maximum level like glucose but in case of diabetic he or she has more glocose than itz level and thats why we need to control upto maximum by useing insulin or by tablet...in case of type 1 diabatic he or she totally loss byta (beta) cell, so insulin,(it is also source of energy which adjust with glocose) never produced his body and thatz y need to enject insulin,,,and u cant use insulin as tablet because acid damage itz quantity,,,and in case of type 2 there ocurs insulin resistance and by using tablet u can manage that resistance,,,,,after all,,,every1 need to maximum glocose level....both higher and lower is bad for our health...below 2oo it is ok i think......different lab in India has different range of glocose reading...in south india upto 145mg that i have got...and, of course here in our assam too almost same.....

Glucose does not come only from sugary products. The daily intake of carbohydrates metabolizes to various forms of glucose and gets stored in the Liver (The Energy center) of our body. When insulin in deficient this process gets hindered. For a diabetic this glucose gets into the blood. In case of Insulin dependent diabetics when the insulin injected is high this leads to Hypoglycemia if it goes below 40 mg/dl then the alpha cells in our pancreas sends out signal to eject more glucogon to the system so that this insulin is consumed...

So by nature we are in no dearth of energy even if we do not consume sugary items.
