it's better to get drug free by IDM. Exercise Comes next and drugs last. The drug Amaryl P is combination of a beta cell whipping drug and a drug which increases the consumption of glucose by liver.

Not a banned drug. Pioglitazone was banned in haste without giving proper consideration a few months back but soon the ban was lifted. Many so called side effects of the drugs are actually the complications of D itself. If you go on taking the same high carb diet you were taking before you were diagnosed a D and that's what the doctors recommend then you land up with D complications which is attributed to drugs.

What about the level of risk factors compared to other medicines which do not contain whipping of beta cells?

Beta cell whipping is like whipping a tired horse. Other drugs which act by increasing insulin sensitivity and affecting carb absorption are far better.
