Yes.Samba Wheat is a long one. I believe one George from Kerala tried and got cured of diabetes. I have tried to boil it (it takes a long time. will try pressure cooking). It seems OK and no starch, hence it is a good LC food. Samba wheat rava (sooji) may help if u try upma preparations (search for recipes in the net). LCHF and kitogenic foods can cure diabetes. They aim at removing sugar not only from blood but also from body (liver, fat cells and tissues). Medications remove blood sugar but where does it go ? Ask every diabetic doctor this question? If they answer rightly u will find right exercise or physical activities at the right time (when you sugar level is near 80) and low carbo food is required. Also you may find that your pancreas functioning OK (diabetes doctor may not fully agree, although I may not also fully agree with him). Follow these food practices and find out yourself.

Find a suitable way. Moderate LCHF/KETOGENIC food moderate physical activities. Fasting one day a week (or free from rice other carbs and ). If u take medication fasting may result in low level of BS. U may skip or reduce medication. Moderate way is best although slow. Keep observing the changes. Then u will be self motivated to follow every beneficial step.

Long wheat is available as broken wheat rice from super markets especially those selling south Indian items. Double horse, eastern, nirupama, brahmins are some of the brand names. You can keep in water for soaking and remove dirt for nearly 10-15 minutes and boil with water. You can eat in place of rice (chaval). More fiber content food. I can give the address of Nirupama foods. Please note: KKR FLOUR MILLS COCHIN KERALA.. Tel: 484 2462422. E mail: kkrmills@md4.vsnl.net.in. Web: nirapara.com. This is taken from their food packet cover. Hope this may help.
