Here question is not about cost.Efforts are being made to find a device or mean through which insulin could be delivered conveniently and effectively without going through the pains of repeated needle pricks.

Dear indiacratus,I am really happy to see your mail.I was just wondering why are you so silent.Coming to the subject ,it is true that the patch therapy for insulin is long way into future.As you rightly said insulin molecules being large in size it can not pass through the pores in the skin.To overcome this researchers are trying to abrade the skin and put patch ,so the insulin is absorbed in the capillary system directly..Still many many hurdles to overcome.

what dozes are fed pe patch ? How frequently the dozes are administered , these and many other points are not yet clear from the above reply. will somebody enlighten us on this

Perhaps you have not read the reply carefully.In nut shell, it is still in experimental stage.
