Otherthan wheet upma, idly/chapathi, can anybody suggest a chart containing morning/midday/evening/night eatables ) for diabetic patients.

No fixed chart can be given. There are so many things like metabolism strength, physic, geographical conditions, climate, age, suffering of deceases, habits, culture, level of physical and mental exercises, level of consumption of energy and so on, which vary from man to man

Leave to the person whether he will accept it or not. If interested, he will contact his doctor. What I want to say is years together one can;t eat whea upma/chapathi/ etc etc.life long. so some change is required. Hence suggestion.

We need to avoid all grains -wheat, rice, Ragi etc as they have high carbohydrate. Try soya. Defatted soya granules are great for diabetics as they have only 30%carb. These granules can be soaked and heated and can be used as rice with sambar, rasam vegetables and curd. You can also make upuma with these granules. I have been using this for the past year and find them useful in controlling blood sugar. With minimal medication, regular workouts and a strict low carb diets, my fasting suger ia 80 and pp sugar 120. Glaciated hemoglobin is 6.2

You can take Moong Dal Curry for Break fast. Soak moong dal for 8 hours in water in the night. Heat ghee and jeera/ hing etc. in a vessel and add soaked moong dal to it. Boil it with water for 10 minutes. Add salt as per your need. Its excellent break fast for DB patients.

Alopathic medicines should not be stopped all at a sudden. Now first of all you must realize that stress plays a very vital role affecting hormonal system of our body. So until and unless you change your attitude, no one can help you come out of diabetes as Insulin is a hormone derived from pancreas. The other major reason of diabetics is irregular life-style and wrong food habits. So, now I suggest some basic things from Ayurved which will help come out of this decease.

1. Laughing therapy will help you think positive and also you may consult some psychiatric.

2. Yogasan and pranayam will help you penetrate different hormonal glands and re-activate them. Pawan-muktasan, Mandookasan and Surya-namaskar are particularly helpful activating pancreas. Dhyan and some pranayam also have good impact.

3. Punctuality in daily routine life is very important. Timely rising, meals, sleep etc are very important.

4. Active life through-out the day is very necessary. Just morning-evening walk is not suffice. You have to be active whole day out.

5. Low carb-high fat/fiber diet is best for you as you get direct energy from fat and fibers instead from carbohydrates as it requires Insulin for converting into energy.
